Fall has arrived

So September practically flew by. My sister's shower & bachlorette party went off without a hitch, & we all managed to have a fabulous time.

The wedding was next and it couldn't have gone better, Teresa was the most beautiful bride and the day was perfect. The sun was shining and the weather was surprisingly warm...for an October day in northern Michigan.

We haven't been so lucky now that we are home, it has been very chilly and the nights are COLD, I guess it's to be expected. I do love this time of year because it is so beautiful to see all the leaves change colors and the fall is just somehow relaxing to me.

Blake is doing great, we have started another class, "Milk & Cookies" it's filled with fun little dances & songs, along with story time. He is so quick to pick up on things, we have to be very careful what we say around him because chances are he is going to repeat it. He has become quite the little gentleman as well, always saying please & thank you...it simply makes me melt every time:). Blake was also the ring bearer in my sister's wedding, he did a good job, he was a bit shy so he walked down the aisle with me but at least he made it down the aisle, he was a handsome little guy in his tux!

Now we are getting ready for Halloween, Blake can't wait. He has been practicing saying trick-or-treat for most of October so I am confident he will be ready to roll. He is dressing up as a monkey this year, it's adorable!

September Already??

I can't believe it is already September, where did the summer go??

This is going to be a busy month for us...and next month too. My sister Teresa is getting married at the beginning of October to an absolutely wonderful man, Bob. We are so happy that she has found her soul mate, we just love Bob.

I am heading up to Traverse City for Teresa's bridal shower this weekend, it will be at this historical Inn on peninsula, it's a beautiful place for a shower. My mother & I have been planning for months and can't wait to host the party.

Blake is now a year and a half & is growing like crazy, he had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday...2 shots, not much fun but he was a champ about it. He is 32 pounds and just shy of 3 feet tall, he is in the 9oth percentile. Blake is talking up a storm, its so incredible watching him develop his own personality. He loves to be the center of attention and will do whatever it takes to get a laugh out of people. I am completely fascinated at all of his accomplishments in the past year and a half (yes, I am the proud bragging mom...). Blake knows sign language well, is learning his colors, can pick up tunes like you wouldn't believe, is very social, and so much more. He is such an affectionate little guy as well, he absolutely loves to give hugs & kisses, this is great because we just can't seem to get enough...

There is more BIGGG NEWWWS....Adam's brother Ryan and his lovely wife Lisa are expecting triplets! We are all very excited and can't wait to meet the three little angels. We know that they will be amazing parents and are so happy for them.

Happy Birthday month to Adam as well...my dear hubby will be celebrating his 27th birthday on the 19th of this month.

A Glimpse

I have been saying that I was going to get this thing up and running and well, here I am finally... I started this blog so I could keep my family & friends updated on what is happening in our world...

Here we go... I am 26 years old. I have been married for almost four years now to my wonderful husband Adam. We have one son, Blake, he is 18 months old and the center of our world. Parenthood is truly the most incredible thing imaginable. Our family is the pretty standard American fam...I have been at home with Blake since he was born. I never really knew what it meant to be a "stay at home mom" until I lived it, don't get me wrong I love being able to spend each day with Blake, but I guess I just really had no clue as to how much work it truly entailed. Watching Blake change each day is great, he is the sweetest child, I love every second I get to spend with him.

We have had a pretty busy summer, it has been great really. I am not really a sit still kind of a person so being on the move is just fine by me.The beginning of June Adam and I snuck away to Mexico for an entire week! It was fabulous and just what we needed, anyone who is married and has a baby knows that time for each other tends to be a scarce resource...especially time alone to talk & reconnect, and that precisely what we got...thank you Mexico!! It was a little difficult leaving Blake behind for an entire week, but we left him in great hands and knew it was something we had to do for us.

Then in July Adam graduated from NADA, this was a school that is located Washington, DC, he was there for 7 weeks over the course of the year studying hard...we couldn't be more proud of all of his accomplishments! So we traveled to DC for a long weekend to see Adam and his brother Ryan graduate, it was very nice. While we were there we saw a lot of the sights as well.

Our next adventure was to New York City...one of my favorite places in the world! My sister in law Alyssa has danced there for the past 3 summers, she is involved in a program that is carefully orchestrated by the Radio City Rockettes. Blake and I went on this trip with my mother and father in law....and Alyssa of corse leaving Adam behind, he was unable to come out due to work. We had a fabulous time while we were there, we visited the fire museum, which Blake loved, shopped a little, Blake went on his very first carriage ride around Central Park, and went to see Chicago on Broadway...

Now we are home, well at least for a few more days, Blake and I are taking our annual trip up north to see my parents for 2 weeks. We can't wait to see them!

So I guess that is about all for now, I am sure I am leaving out so much but I guess I will try to keep things updated from this point on.
